I come to You today asking for Your mighty hand over my son. Lord, please bless his body, his legs, his lungs, and his mind as he runs cross country. Strengthen him so he can run faster, longer, and smarter than he ever has before. Lift him up above everyone else on the field, and let him rise to the top.

Father, I ask that You help him achieve amazing times — 14, 15, 16, 17, or even 18-minute runs. Let those numbers become his testimony. Help his legs stay strong, flexible, and powerful. Protect him from muscle cramps, injury, or weakness. Give him lungs that breathe deep and steady so he can run like a cheetah — fast, fierce, and unstoppable.

Lord, whether he gets 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place — in the whole race or even on his entire team — let his name be known. Let his hard work, discipline, and faith shine through every run. And Father, if it is Your will, open the door for scholarships, opportunities, and favor in college. Let coaches notice him, respect him, and want him on their teams.

Cover him with strength, safety, confidence, speed, and courage. Put Your hand on his heart so he never gives up, never breaks down, and never loses faith in himself.
